Returns?

Strange day for a couple of reasons, I again decided to bet in running, dont know why I do this when it is all going to plan but I still do it, I think it is the lure of a quick return but it always has the opposite effect. The horse dropped anchor and £10.71 went with it.
Why,Why,Why?????????
I traded as usual and ended up in profit by the tune of £4.72 this should have been £15.43 but for that gamble, but it is time to learn from these mistakes. I read other peoples blogs so I know I am not the only one with this problem but thats no reassurance!
What I did notice that my returns per race are getting higher, this is still with £10 trades. Either my timing / reading the market is getting better or its luck. Probably the latter!!

P&L today £4.72

P&L month -£10.74

Normal service :((

Gone daft again placed a silly trade on a AP mc Coy horse that fell away very quickly, I then had a out of body experience that for some reason I thought putting £20 trades in, was a good idea and got stuffed in the next race!! That was £30 down in the first 2 races. I went back to normal with £10 and ended up £20.70 down.
So a mixed day really, pleased with turning the £10 into £19.30 but thats no good coming from £30 down. Self control is what I need to master.

P&L Today = -£20.70

P&L Month = - £15.46

New Month New Start!

Thank god May is finished!! Just seemed to go from bad to worse. I put this down to no real system even though I thought I was following one. In fact it wasnt until the last 4 days did I see progress, I went back to basics with only a £10 bank and I kept to very tight ground rules which basically mean I always trade both ways back then lay or in some extreme cases visa versa.
Following this I was averaging £5 which is pin money but a 50% return on my bank. I will continue this for most of June to see if it works out and then I will increase the bank as liquidity with larger amounts is no issue.
Just to clarify I will back any profit from the day and start again with £10 the following day.

Bank £10

Day P&L £5.24

P&L June £5.24
